The BIRTHFIT Prenatal Series
The prenatal series is our childbirth education class. Held in either a weekend intensive or over the course of four weeks, the Prenatal Series is an opportunity for you and your birth partner to become educated and immersed in the child birth experience and develop your own birth preferences and postpartum plan. .
You will learn how to incorporate the four pillars of BIRTHFIT into your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience, ensuring you are truly ready physically, emotionally and spiritually for the motherhood transition.
In our classes, we'll incorporate functional mobility, natural movement and breath work. We'll discuss foods that support a healthy pregnancy and recovery postpartum. And you'll have the opportunity to dig deep into your own birth desires, dispel any fear, and adopt the mindset needed for your best possible birth experience.
Women's Strength & Conditioning Class
This fitness class is for women who want to workout safely and functionally while pregnant, trying to conceive, or who are at least 4 months postpartum. We don't modify for pregnancy-- we optimize our training to help you prepare for birth and postpartum recovery. In our classes we will cover breathing and bracing techniques and how to safely lift odd objects such as sandbags, barbells and kettlebells. Our workouts will mimic movements you perform in everyday life and will vary in time and modality. All fitness levels encouraged and welcome.
Classes will be held at Alberta Park in NE Portland.
